Been started for over a month. One needs to be on the lake b4 the crack of dawn to take advantage of this feeding frenzy. And be in the right spot.

White and Blue Herons will show the way early AM. Shad are spawning on the bank . I suggest to google Navionics.com , locate the lake of choice , zoom in and locate large flats close to deep water or river channels . Stripes use the river to travel . Any sand bars , creeks or break lines that intersect said river are prime. One can eliminate a lot of non productive water by using such a resource.
