Magnum Whites on Buchanan - 02/08/22 02:27 PM
Got on em’ again Saturday after SNOVID 22’! The white bass were hungry today after the cold snap and the action was non stop! The Thump'em Up Fishing thumper kept them under the boat today and the Hummingbird Helix doesn’t lie! Same as last week the 5/8 oz white Duck Tracker Slab under a Mr. Crappie Shadpole curly tail on a dropper loop with a hot pink jig head was the ticket but they were also hammering the Zoom Baits super fluke in white/chartreuse while deadsticking on a slow drift around 0.3 mph in 65 FOW with fish suspended up to 30 FOW. Action was non stop and I left them biting, easy limit today and beautiful weather after the cold snap! I hooked into a big fish, striper or hybrid, but unfortunately it came unhooked about half way up, definitely would have been the cherry on top! I stayed in the river channel just south of the river bend straight out from the Burnet County ramp.
