Cedar Creek Lake White Bass Tournament October 9 - 09/10/21 09:54 AM

ANNOUNCEMENT OF
Third Annual Cedar Creek “UNCONVENTIONAL” White Bass Tournament

On October 9, the THIRD ANNUAL CEDAR CREEK VETERANS FOUNDATION (“CCVF”) white bass tournament will be held. It will be an individual tournament with categories for adults and children. Children ages eight to twelve may register in either the Children’s Division or the Adult Division but not both. If they register in the Adult Division, they will be required to pay the $50.00 adult registration fee. The location is Cedar Creek Lake at Log Cabin boat ramp and grounds.
Due to COVID-19, for lunch, we will have tables and chairs spread out for you to sit at or you will be served in your boat. This same setup will be done during the live auction. For the weigh-in, you may beach up. The docks at Log Cabin will not be available to moor up to. Once “beached”, you will receive a number and you will be required to remain in your boat until your number is called. Everyone leaving their boat will be required to WEAR A MASK and be 6 feet away from the person in front of them. If you fail to wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of separation, you will be disqualified from the tournament and will forfeit your registration fee. Winners will be announced once all participates have completed their weigh-in.

In addition to promoting family fun through fishing and just being in the great outdoors, the “HOOKED ON VETERANS” white bass tournament is to raise money for CCVF. This is the organization that also supports the Cedar Creek community and raises money through the annual 4th Of July Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show. CCVF’s mission is to honor the courageous men and women who have served to protect our freedoms by providing financial support for those agencies responsible for their care and nurture. The three beneficiaries supported by CCVF are CampV, Tyler, Fisher House and Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. CCVF is a 501c3 and is led by an all-volunteer team of Board of Directors and Officers. All proceeds from their fundraisers go to support these charities.

Re: Cedar Creek Lake White Bass Tournament October 9 - 10/12/21 12:27 PM

Thanks Dennis and Lyn! We had a great time! It was a little windy and the fish were being a little finicky but that made it more rewarding to put together a good bag of fish. Jake was super excited as that was his first ever white bass tournament, although he had a been out with us several times before using the Mepps technique. He really needed a win in his life as he just lost both of his parents last month to COVID. Fishing can heal the soul. angel2 The Bookout’s will be back next year! See you on the water!
