Cedar Creek Lake the Last Few Days - 08/28/21 01:09 PM

Thank you to our recent customers who have joined up with RD on Cedar Creek Lake for a little fun in the sun fishing. We greatly appreciate your business!

Crappie have been on main lake brush piles in 15-22ft, with live minnows and hair jigs from Slab Syndicate being the baits of choice. Our favorite rods for slinging slabs in the boat are the Todd Huckabee 8ft Epic poles, paired with Shimano Sierra reels that are spooled with 8lb chartreuse monofilament.

The white bass and hybrids are coming off of windblown main lake humps and points, with the best depth being 12-20ft. We are trolling the famous HellPet rig right now, which in my opinion can’t be beat for late summer success.

Looking ahead, our favorite time of year is on the horizon. October and November on Cedar Creek Lake is typically phenomenal for heavy stacks of huge black crappie, mixed in with lots of big magnum sandies and hybrids. That’s an experience we really like to share with others.

Call us at 817-266-9811 and we can make a game plan to get you in the boat. You can also see our openings and book online through our website www.ftworthfishing.com.

Thank you Lord for letting us be blessed in doing what we love to do for a living. Also, thank you to our sponsors for helping us chase our dreams!
