Lake Granbury

Lake Granbury - 03/24/21 01:22 PM

Caught 10 White Bass and 1 17" Striper that put up a good fight yesterday. Hated to let him go back, but told him to hurry up and grow up some for next time. Was close to the HWY51 bridge.
Where else on this lake is a good place fish

What were you fishing with? Artificials or shad/minnows? What depth of water were you in?

I was using minnows in about 12'' of water by a drop off that went to over 20' off an inlet near some tree stumps fishing just 2 or 3 cranks off bottom.

Trolling the edges of the main river channel, that cuts through the lake, has always worked for stripers for me.

What type baits you troll with? Crankbaits, Alabama rigs, or swimbaits? And what colors work well in this lake?

welcome At this time of year it is usually good from the HWY 51 bridge to the town square. The fish will also be moving up the river. In the summer, head for the dam.
