Lake Whitney Points by the Numbers

Lake Whitney Points by the Numbers - 12/29/20 07:24 PM

I fish Lake Whitney a lot. Always hear "Point 8", "Point 6" and so on. Never saw any marked on my maps. I do know where "Point 8" is. But curios, if these are marked on any maps. Or, just plain local knowledge?

From what I was told is they were signs that indicated the mile marker from the dam.as the river flows not as the crow flys.

Point 8 is 8 miles from the dam, as the crow flies. Maybe thats how they are named?
