Saturday 10/10/2020: I hosted 3 of my friends - Ed, Gordon and Dan - who fished the Cedar Creek white bass tournament. To follow the rules I registered for the tournament so I could host them, but I do not compete in my home tournament. In spite of my best efforts to locate and put them on big fish, none of them placed in the tournament. We had a great time though - starting at 7 AM in heavy fog at Saint Annes Point East. Within a few minutes we had caught several whites with the biggest going 14 1/2 inches, 2 hybrids both over 20 inches and Gordon caught a 6 lb LMB. The next spot where we caught good fish was Game Warden Hump followed by Enchanted Isle Ridge, Spillway Hump and ending at Mid-lake Hump. The best spot was Spillway Hump although we caught several tournament quality fish at Enchanted Isle Ridge as well. As we were about to leave Spillway Hump we witnessed my neighbor's grandson (in the boat next to us) catch a huge blue cat they said was 5 ft long. We ended up catching 131 whites, and Gordon had our best 5 fish at 7.44 lb, which was 5th place. He also caught 2 hybrids and the big black. They all used Mepps #4 and Ed and Dan used 2's part of the time. It was certainly a good time of fishing with good friends. Here are some pics:
