Thanks to Bob Holmes (Bob@texasfishingguide.net www.texasfishingguide.net 214 728 3310) report Rob and I decided to try it out Friday and we were sure glad we did, thanks Bob. We met at Oak Cove at 8:00 am, fished from 8:30 to 4:30. First stop was sometime island. Found fish on south side, caught 34 nice sandbass. Moved over to Pelican Island and stayed there most of the day. 4 or 5 other boats were there and all were catching. Some times there would not be anything on the fish finder. Down scan zoomed, side scan, or sonar. They were hugging the bottom so close and the wind was rocking the boat that they were invisible. We stayed at one spot due south of island about 150 yds from the bank for 4hrs and steadily caught fish in 20fow.
Watched some birds working further south of us and saw a few splashes so we moved out there. The graph lit up and it was fish every drop. The fish were schooled up but not busting the surface. It won't be long before RC lights up all over the lake. Finished back at sometime Island and picked up 17 more.
Total for the day 417, about 15 yellow bass and the rest were all sandbass. All released.
