Bridgeport Sandbass - 09/16/19 03:29 PM

Heading out to bridgeport on friday with my old man and we will be chasing sandbass. It is both of our first times out on the lake. Was looking to see if i could get some advice on what part of the lake to check for early morning topwater bite and what other lures to try out.

Hybrids have been elusive, sandies are a little easier to figure out. Keep swim bait with under spin or tail hummer type lure on always. Fish are moving fast and s lot of times from 5 feet down to just below surface .
Don’t be afraid to blind cast close to bank in shallow water where you see bait flickering .
Humps and ledges in 25 feet of water can produce good numbers .
Slabs have worked as well as thread fin shad .

Me and a buddy went to Bridgeport Saturday evening. Bass were school by the dam boat ramp when we got there about 5. Found the sandies schooling by the spillway close to dark. Top water and little George worked good for us.
