Going to Texoma and staying at Cedar mills , any advice on where to fish gentleman ? The islands are close by and looking for some top water action . How far of a boat ride is it to the dam from Cedar mills ?

45 minute boat ride. The bite is early early at dawn for an hour or two and that's it. Try around the islands and the main river channel early morning

I fished Texoma today. I launched at Highport about 7 and the waves were pretty rough, so we fished the flats across the lake from the Marina. We used the thumper on the first spot and picked up the first of many oversized fish, a gar, a catfish and a drum. We started drifting after that and caught several more overs but no box fish. Later when the waves died, we ran to the point south of Mack creek. We fished a hump in about 30’ of water and were able to thump up several more overs. We ended up with four overs and a bunch of released overs.

If you are at cedar mill try the first point going back south. Going into Walnut creek It's normally 30 fow 15 on the hump. Bump slabs off the bottom. Watch for schooling fishing in area
