Texoma Fishing? - 06/30/19 06:48 PM

I’m taking my 8 year old out to Texoma on Friday. Looking for any advice. I fish ray Bob and Lewisville, but new to Texoma. Launching at rock Creek Marina. Thanks in advance!

Barry's crew on Southwest Outdoors says that Texoma is on fire.
If that's the case, probably doesn't matter where you go. Fish may be at every stop you make.

The fish are there, and there are plenty of shad. At dusk the fish go up in the shallows, try around the islands in around 10 fow and around hog island cut. We went out yesterday and found plenty of fish, but they weren't biting very well. We wound up catching two decent ones in about 45 mins on a pearl colored 5" sassy shad.

Any suggestions on where I can get into some stripers in my kayak without having to pedal very long distances?

We hammered them when we went with Marty of https://texoma-fishing.com/. The sassy shads are killers, within the same area you are looking to fish/launch as well.
