Need some help on bait tank parts

Need some help on bait tank parts - 06/25/19 04:05 PM

Yesterday, I accidentally lost my charcoal pack from my bait tank in the lake while I was cleaning the shad goo and scales from the filter. Grayline's website is down and I assume they are out of business now. Does anyone know where I can buy one of those charcoal packs?

They are still in business, different owner. However, Pet smart has them, and I have bought them at Wal Mart as well.

Thanks TCK73. That's good news. Went over to sixolegeezers and found out the biz has been sold and not up and running yet.

Yep Grayline is still in business. I called him recently and ordered some parts. Looks like his website is not active and is pending renewal but he's now on Facebook or you can call (580) 920-2085

Ammonia pellets on line , 10 lb jar and ladies panty hose has worked for years.

Absolutely no reason to use activated charcoal in a bait tank!
In fact every professional in the aquarium business has told me even after one use in a shad tank its will have exhausted its capabilities.

Tap water, salt, ice if necessary, treat and never look back. Less is more.

Tight lines.

I have a super bait tank, all equipment is outside the holding tank . So, yes ammonia pellets are placed in that compartment , and not in the holding tank with the bait. That along with @ one pound rock salt and half gallon container frozen water. Lasts over five hours under either Bimini top or t-top.
