Any decent options between Lake Georgetown, Granger or so on? Trying to avoid driving to the coast, or at least come up with an excuse why not to lol.

Whites could be caught during their spawning run by fishing off the bank along the San Gabriel River upstream from both Lakes Georgetown and Granger. But the spawn is over now and most of them have moved back down into the main lake bodies.

No stripers in either Gtn or Granger. Gtn has hybrids but they're mostly in deeper water so bank fishing for them would be problematic. There might be some deep water fishing access along the bank on Gtn but you'd need to study a lake map to find possible spots.
