I haven't been on the lake in a while but if I were going after hybrids today, I would hit 3 spots. These are NOT secret spots but hold fish during June and July. If all else fails, wait for ATM to reply. He's way better at the hybrids (and now those little crappie) than I am.
1. Troll the sunken Hwy 155 road/bridge with a firetiger deep diver. Brand of deep diver (i.e. DD22, 6XD) doesn't seem to matter as much as the firetiger color. Best spot is where the old road bed (dirt) meets the concrete. This would be towards both ends of the current hwy bridge. The depth will only be 12-13 ft at this point so a DD22 will be dragging bottom...you may want to try something that runs around 15ft. The key is hitting the bottom. Yes, you'll lose some lures this way but most of my bites come right after the lure hits/deflects off bottom. There are two bridges on the sunken hwy. These bridges are in about 18ft of water and have rails on both sides. The river channel runs under these old bridges. The hybrids (and LOTS of white bass) will hang around these sunken bridges all day.
2. Horse Ranch Point-big main lake point on right going towards the dam. River channel swings in next to a ledge/point that extends into main lake. Used to be an actual horse ranch but now they've developed the land and there are big homes on it. The ledge gradually slopes to 15ft+ of water but then drops off drastically into the river channel. Good early morning spot. Trolling across this ledge works well but the fish will school here off and on during the day so a swimbait like a Storm Wildeye works on the schooling fish.
3. Mouth of Ledbetter/Highsaw-right where the main lake meets the "bay". Several small humps and ridges in 15ft-18ft of water. Small island to the right (north) as you go into the bay is a good marker spot. I like to go back and forth across the mouth of the bay staying in 15ft-18ft of water. Probably 1/2 mile south of that small island will put you close to the right water. It does get shallower as you go towards the bridge at the back of Ledbetter and drops off into 25ft+ of water towards the main lake but for some reason this time of year I have better luck in 15ft-18ft of water. I like to jig a 3/4oz hammered chrome slab here. And if they're not right on bottom, I'll throw that Wildeye swimbait out, let it sink to the bottom, then slowly reel up through the water column to get the suspended fish. You won't see these fish school on top like at the Horse Ranch but you will see an occasional giant shad jump out of the water and that's a sure sign a big hybrid was on it's tail.

Dang it, Sandbass, I was trying to keep them down towards your end of the lake and away from mine. I did you a favor by not mentioning Brookshires. Speaking of Flat Creek, I released my 14lb hybrid right out in front of the marina (after weighing her on their scales) and have been catching her 10lb offspring in that cove for years now. (too bad hybrids are sterile!!)
