son and i went out from 7am to 11am today and slayed them. early we found them shallow near the island and caught them on rattle traps and white H&H spinnerbaits until the fish moved on about 8:30. we then went deep and found them on edge of old river bed near one of the humps caught them with old uglies, left them biting at 11 am. we caught 60 to seventy fish and we kept 22 for the grease. All the keepers were 12 to 13 inches and spawned out. what a wonderful day to spend on the water with your son.
