Lake Tawakoni - 05/12/19 10:51 PM

Are the ramps open on Twok with all the rain we’ve gotten this last week? Also, anyone have any tips for the AM bite? Haven’t been out there in over a year, just can’t pass up the beautiful weather for tomorrow! Thanks in advance!

STATE PARK RAMP WAS OPEN YESTERDAY , BUT THE LAKE IS UP AND PART OF THE WALK WAY TO THE DOCK WAS UNDER WATER . JUST WORK THE HOLIDAY HUMPS WITH SLABS AND TROLL WITH A CHROME RATTLE TRAP. ALSO SLOW ROLL A MEPPS #4

Heard ramps are good. Look for clean waters. Popular community holes are good. Fish are plentiful. Just go!

Sandies are everywhere. Just find a lake point and look at your sonar

I guess the word is out on Tawakoni. I have never seen the number of vehicles at the 2 mile ramp like I saw on Sunday. Got there just after 6:30 and got the last parking spot on the pavement. I fished it a lot last year and never saw it like that. Like someone else said Holiday Humps. Normally in May the Greenville pump station is hot. I went over there and fished bait for about an hour. It was a wasted hour. My depth finders were lit up with debris.

I think that's freaking hilarious Stumpjumper!...and the word sure didn't get out on here. Sothtxangler22 was the only person that tried to help a fellow fisherman out when I asked for some help about 2 weeks ago. Maybe your reply isn't far off.

BTW, I didn't keep any of the fish I caught last year....just enjoy sharing a good productive day on the water with my Goddaughter or friend. No luck this year but I will eventually find them.

Huge schools Sunday on east side of Holiday Humps. Lots of small sandies though and hybrids not quite as big as last year. I really need a spot lock trolling motor but I have other things to spend a couple of grand on. For now anchoring and drifting work just as they always have.

Thx for the help Stump jumper. All I've found are the small sandies so far but I'm wanting to let her get into a hybrid or striper. Same here, really don't have extra $$ to hire a guide. Tight lines!

Probably a lot of guys pre-fishing for Bass Champs. Sunday was cut off.
