Fished PK the last couple of days. Striper were in the main channel across from Sams Dock and towards that cliff face. Most fish caught were around 18-25 feet. Night fishing dock lights near main channels and creeks produced large mouth, sand bass, striper, and crappie. Largest bass caught was 8.71 lbs and largest striper was only 11.13 lbs. Here is a picture of the buck tail jigs that the fish were hitting. The 1/2 oz ruby slipper worked great at night and the yellow underspin 1 oz was working great during the day. Water temp was around 60-62 degrees during the day. There was hardly no activity on the lake from other fisherman. Pressure was around 30.3 with very light winds. Made for a hard trip to find the fish. Any hard days of fishing is still better than working in my book!

It should work on any lake. I fish lakes based off of water temperature, pressure, and clarity. I always try a variety of bucktail jigs and plastics with the color based off the water clarity. I look for humps, drop offs, channels and mainly bait fish. Then I fish slow, medium or fast speed depending on the pressure and water temperature. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what the fish like and want. I am also lucky at times and meet people who are willing to share information about the lake I’m on. I share information on the lakes I know in return. I enjoy seeing people being able to catch fish also. That’s why when anyone pulls up to me and ask I tell em and try to help out any way that I can. Guides on any new lake are worth the information you can learn from them. I have been lucky to use and meet guides who are willing to talk and share as long as you don’t crowd, cramp or keep them from making a living.
