Ghost Town on Richland Chambers! (UPDATE)

Ghost Town on Richland Chambers! (UPDATE) - 09/01/18 10:24 PM

We conducted trips Tuesday thru Saturday and on the Weekdays leading up to the Holiday Weekend only saw approximately half a dozen boats total. However, the Saturday fishermen made up for the other days as LOTS of folks were on the Lake this AM! We get a bit spoiled on RC having a big ol' 45,000 acre Lake almost totally to ourselves on the Weekdays. I still believe Richland Chambers is the Best Kept Secret in Texas! grin We mixed it up this week with White Bass fishing on every trip, but also did some Combo Crappie/White Bass trips, Catfish/White Bass Trips and even caught a few Hybrids! There's been some Top Water activity almost every AM off the 309 Flats and then we tie on the RSR Slabs and target fish on Humps, Points & Ridges in 15'-25' FOW. After we fish on Monday (Labor Day),we have lots of Weekdays open in September. If you'd like to get in on some of the late Summer White Bass, Crappie or Catfish action, give us a call. Here's a few Pics from the past few days:

Good Point! All youngsters over 13 and pics at the dock except for one pic and the Vest is on the boat seat. You can barely see it. We never run the boat without a Vest on the under 13 year olds. Thanks for your comment.

Ghost Town on Richland Chambers! (UPDATE 9/15/18)) - 09/14/18 11:14 AM

Fished Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with mixed results. Only easy day was Monday when we found a late Morning Top Water School of Whites on the Main Lake in 50' FOW. Wore them out for an hour and a half. That's the "good news" for the week as we looked for fish for over three hours on our Monday & Tuesday trips and the only other fish we found were some Hybrids off the Flats early Tuesday AM.(Gave up on Tuesday and caught some Blue Cats) Don't know what's happened but the Whites have disappeared this week. bang So.....we changed our plan and did Catfish on Thursday. When all else fails, RC will rarely disappoint you on Catfish. Nice day for nice Channel Cats!!! If I was planning a White Bass/Hybrid Trip to RC, I'd take along the Catfish Bait or maybe drown some minnows for Crappie until the White Bass fishing gets better! Good Luck and Good Fishing!

Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

Ghost Town on Richland Chambers! (UPDATE 9/15/18)) - 09/15/18 11:08 PM

Finished off the week with both boats on the Lake. The Couple from Galveston that I fished with wanted some Catfish so we loaded the Ice Chest with Eater Size Channels. Adam's Party from DFW wanted the Whites and Hybrids and we told them it had been a tough week. Well....after looking for quite a while, Adam found some cooperative fish and they caught a nice box of Whites and had lots of small Hybrids. All caught on RSR Silver Slabs except for some Main Lake Top Water Schoolies that showed up on the Main Lake on the way back to the Marina at High Noon! Nice way to the end the week and good to see some White Bass action! thumb

We've got Weekday Openings in September and October if anyone wants to get in on the action. We're conducting, White Bass, Crappie and Catfish Trips the next few weeks!
