60lb braid tied to swivel and 20 lb seagur invisx. White/chartreuse clouser minnow on top ang 1.0 to 1.5 oz jig on bottom. Drop to bottom and click into gear. Pop up and start reeling in. If you are marking fish and you don’t get bit on both you’re doing it wrong.

So how many feet above is the clouser? Are you talking about the fly?

A fly, yes.

Mine is about a foot and half above. The bin at bass pro says local favorite on it.

I use 20lb fluoro for quick hookset and extra strength. I’ve had two 5+ lb hybrids on multiple times. I almost exclusively use the 1.5 oz launch time jig from bass pro.

Let me help you catch them. Tube tied to the back of the boat with two kids and a wife on it. Drag it around the lake near the dam around 10 or 11 in the morning until you see acres of fish splashing on the surface. Stop the boat, pull the kids in, cast a Pop R with a crappie jig tied 3 feet under it, hook a fish, hand it to a kid to catch, and repeat. You don't even have to have or know how to use electronics. If you are not having a blast you're doing it wrong.
