"Roller Coaster" Week on Richland Chambers!!! (Pic Heavy & Updated) - 06/02/18 08:40 PM

The Memorial Day Weekend started the Roller Coaster Ride on RC as fishing was about as good as it gets a couple of days and about as tough as you'd ever want on others! The Main Lake bite was fair to good for the Live Bait Folks & Trollers, but really tough for the Artificial Lure Fishermen (Like Adam and Me). We were making trips up the Richland & Chambers Creeks to find the Whites on Points & Humps in shallow water (15'-20' FOW). This is a Summer Pattern and usually holds much of the Season. We also expect to catch Top Water Schoolies on the Main Lake, but this bite hasn't developed yet. Won't be long as it already feels like Summer (Water temp at 85 degrees) and we caught bait chasing top water fish on the South Shoreline for the first time today. We're still catching almost all our fish on RSR Slabs and Jigs, but it won't be long till we'll need the Tiny Torpedos and Lil' Georges! Adam and I fish everyday except for Sunday and chase the Whites and Hybrids all Summer. We have a couple of June Openings to fill and lots of July dates available. The wild ride on RC continued this week as I fished everyday and Adam had a couple of trips. Monday was a so so day with a couple of Fishermen from Houston and we managed a 40 fish box of Whites and LOTS of undersized Hybrids. Had to really work for them off the 309 Flats. Thunderstorms, Lots of Lighting and some 40 MPH Winds had us starting and stopping on Tuesday & Wednesday and the fishing was tough with a 22 fish box and 37 fish box. Thursday was a nice day on the water and a Full Box of fish as the South Shoreline had early AM School Fish. Friday's two boat trip with a nice Family from Mansfield meeting up with Clifton Folks scored early and late and put together a 125 fish total of Whites and lots of under Hybrids! My Saturday trip cancelled and I'm enjoying a rare Saturday Off the Lake! clap Rat-L-Traps and Slabs were the baits of choice and School Fish were caught early and then we worked Points and Humps for the remainder of the trips. RC is fishing a bit tough but hopefully the Summer Pattern will kick in gear soon! Good Luck and Good Fishing!!!
