PK Report - 05/09/18 10:19 PM
I don’t post much because I just don’t have a lot of time.
But I guess it is time for a PK report. Fishing is just flat off the charts!
It’s my favorite time of year.
We are waking Redfins early and late catching fish on top. Don’t be afraid to fish shallow early and late. Your not going to see a massive school busting the top. Just pick a good point and wake a Redfin across it. Blowups can be crazy. It’s a technique I see very few use anymore.. Try it with some confidence. Check out you tube etc
Later in the day we are using the biggest shad we can find to lure the fish out of PK’s trees. Don’t frustrate yourself fishing to deep causing hangups and break offs. Hang the shad above the fish and they will come to you! Some places we are fishing 16’ in 45’ of water. Places with shorter trees or brush piles maybe 24’.
Stringers are ranging from 15 to 30 fish per half day. We catch one over ten lbs almost every morning. Biggest fish this week was 34” with 18.5 “ girth.
