Are sandbass biting on fork at this time of year ?

Taking grandsons fishing at fork this thur. /fri. do sandbass have same habits and hangouts now as they do in the summer? Trying to get the boys in on a little action, thinking that sandbass was the best bet. Any body got any suggestions ?
