Lewisville 1-6-18 - 01/07/18 04:20 AM

My son and I fished from 12:00-2:30 today and the bigguns were biting. We caught 10 hybrids (2 under 18”) and a bunch of sandbass. Dead sticked deep water again. Key today was a smaller jig head. I was using 1/2 ounce and my son was using 1 ounce, both with white flukes with the tails dipped in chartreuse. I was catching em pretty good but my son was not. Once he switched to a smaller jighead it was on! Not sure why it mattered so much but that is what they wanted. Few pics from the day.

Awesome. I’ll be out Monday and Tuesday of this week and will report in. Dipping the tails and banging the floor have always been key for me until around February. Seems they always want glitter instead of chartreuse then. I’ve been doing well near shore in 38-45 ft deadsticking to around 30’.

Bassthumb its an 2007 18’ Mako. Not the best built boat but if ya take care of em they’ll get the job done. Oh and the RSR sticker doesn’t hurt either.
