Green Sunfish Replica! Lake Dunlap Record !

Just received my Green Sunfish Replication from Bryan Russell "Anglers Choice Replication Studios" aka "Fish Mounter"! Bryan has done seven replications for me and all of em are simply "FANTASTIC"! The Green Sunfish is the current Lake Dunlap Record Green Sunfish. The fish was caught back on April 23,2010. The fish was 9.80" in length and it's weight was 1.05 Lbs.

Very nice! Bryan does very good work! Nice fish. Looks like that record has held up pretty good! Don't see very many Greens being caught off of Dunlap.



Side Note: Do you catch a lot of Greens off of Dunlap and the other river lakes?

Thanks "Gitter" for the reply! Bryan is a super artist and knows his business very well! I can look at each one of his replications on my wall and go back and remember each catch as if it just happened. He is one GREAT Artist.




Side Note: I have not caught many Greens on any of the river lakes! I have caught less than 10 over the years. The ones that I have caught have been very nice ones and fat! I catch most of my Greens in Creeks and small ponds.

Thanks Jamie for the reply. I can't take a picture off all of the mounts together. They are to spread out through out my house. I have the Bluegill,Green,Longear,Red Breast,Rio,Red Ear,and Large Mouth Bass that have all been replicated by Bryan. Each fish is a "Lifetime Memory"!

If you want to take pictures of each replica separately and email them to me I will combine them into a montage.

Beautiful mount!

I remember as a kid fishing Dunlap and catching those huge bluegill.
What I remember the most was hardly being able to reel them in they pulled so hard and they swam in those crazy circles when you got them close to the surface.

Chuck, that may be the best mount of all of them you have shared. The colors are great, from the tipped fins to the turquoise spots.

Nice work Bryan, I may have to PM you to get some mounts. It's one thing my home is missing. Im guessing a pic with dimensions is all you need?

I love them little green sunfish. I even have one in the aquarium at home. They make great pet fish they are super aggressive, had him jump clear out of the water and snatch a grasshopper out of my hand today.


The second pic is from the video I have of him just before he jumped and snatched that grasshopper out of my hand, little guy came completely out of the water!

Side Note: Looks like the river lakes are settling down. Bites especially the Bluegill are really picking up. Also catching some good Crappie. Been following the Crappie post in the Crappie section.
