Cypress Creek Redbreast Record!

The Cypress Creek never had a Redbreast Sunfish Record before but now it does. On March 25,2015 while fishing this beautiful creek I managed to catch a nice Redbreast. It was 9.15" in length and it's official weight was .55 Lbs. This was good enough to be the Cypress Creek Redbreast Record. Certificate from Texas Parks&Wildlife arrived last week making it the Official Record. I have caught bigger record Redbreast on other water bodies but nailing one on the Cypress Creek was Awesome!


Side Note: The fish was released!

Thanks "Gitter" and Mutt for the replies. "Gitter": The Cypress is a spring fed creek in certain places. Mutt: That Redbreast was a nice one but that creek has much bigger ones.

Me and Jeff fished the Cypress last week and did pretty good. Lots of spawning Bluegill and Redbreast. Jeff caught a nice bass about five pounds. On our way home we found out that there was no record for a Large Mouth Bass on the Cypress Creek! Jeff even had his certified scale with him! Oh well next time.

Side Note: That would have been one for that creek!
