A Super Day on Canyon Lake !

Myself and Mike "USMC-GY" fished Canyon Lake from 7am till 12:30pm. We caught a super combination of Crappie and Bluegill. Fish were caught in 15 to 20 feet of water using minnows,jigs,and worms. All fish were caught on ultra light tackle. Some fish were released and some were kept for the dinner table. After a morning of fishing we had a "GREAT" lunch at Las Barcas Tex-Mex Grill in Startzville. Catching a super combination of fish and eating some super Tex-Mex. It don't get any better!

Nice mess of fish Guys! Been fishing up river. The bite is good. Bass,Cats,and Crappie. Have you done any night fishing on Canyon?

There's something I never heard before about Canyon Lake in my short life as a fisherman. What part of Canyon was that?

We were fishing in the Cranes Mill area of the lake.

Nice mess of fish Guys. I was out there Sunday afternoon and did not do that well! It was the day before the last front blew in!

Thanks Curtis. Canyon can be a very difficult lake to fish at times. I had some pretty good days on that lake this year. Also had my share of not so good days.
