What are your PBs? - 10/13/11 06:10 AM

A PB is a personal best (usually your largest fish of a particular species).

What are your PB

LE) Longear
OS) Orange Spotted
PS) Pumpkinseed
RB) Redbreast

RS) Red Spotted

I'm exactly sure on some of mine the rest I will under estimate as to not go over the actual PB also I will put them in my TFF signature.

Thanks cheers

I'm still on a quest for my 10" gill!! Also an 11 or 12 redear would be awesome. MY redbreast is shameful, but it's the only one I've ever caught lol, we don't get em down out here in Katy/Houston.

Might try out Conroe for the first time in awhile Saturday, so hopefully that goes well although my usual spots are high and dry bang

Man Hooligan I need to fish with you! I know that there are quite a few spotted sunfish in LBL where barton springs enters, just fyi.

Re: What are your PBs? - 10/13/11 07:56 PM

My PBs on the RS and SP are both "0". Sounds like I need to go there too. I did see Chuch catch some RS on LBL so I'll likely fish there this weekend too in order to increase one of my PBs this year then only 11 more PBs to go.

Re: What are your PBs? - 10/24/11 11:42 PM

WR: everytime your bait plops in the drink, the potential is there. All these fish I have posted were caught since June 1st of this year. I have been on a 18 year hiatus from freshwater fishing. In central Texas we are blessed with abundant fisheries, and relative low pressure compared to those metroplex lakes. Add just those things up and fish life is a bit easier for us. PB's are made to be broken and everyday brings that chance.

Re: What are your PBs? - 10/24/11 11:49 PM

@Hooligan.

In all seriousness that was quite inspirational! I should make more of an effort to go to the bigger lakes in my area (Ray Hubbard and Lavon, maybe take a trip with my dad to Fork) and break my PB's.
I don't know why I expect to catch all my fish from a creek and a local pond.

This discussion has overlooked one very very important category.

I present to you the Windcrest Oscar, for which I am the World Record Holder.

WO) 9"+ capable of eating small dogs, cats and if the rumors hold true, elderly citizens from the City of Windcrest.

That is one mean mutha! It has been known to haunt the dreams of men.

drrouter: that was a great post. I have not laughed all day. I thank you for bringing a smile on. You know I would not mind those fish being a bit more plentiful.

Re: What are your PBs? - 10/25/11 01:37 AM

I know I have over posted those pics. But I gotta tell you, those things fight like a Rio on Meth! Not only are they thick, they make awful gurgling sounds like they are coughing up phlegm and they slap their tails around somethin' fierce! AND THEN IT (BLANK) ON ME!

that second pic...his tail wasn't laying down cuz he was done fightin'....no Sir! He was just mid tail flip..working his way back up for another slap at me. It was crazy. My wife was like "Just throw that damn thing back in the water!"
