Fayette 7-18-22 - 07/19/22 03:24 AM

Fun time on the lake today. $Bill brought his boat out with his son and grandson while I was in mine with another friend Don. Put Bill and his grandson on a brim bed and Don and I went chasing bass.
We caught a few bass before going to the brim beds where we caught 42 before lunch. Water temperature was in the high 80"s with overcast skies. Brim were caught on gulp alive chartreuse color drop shot rigs. All fish were returned to play another day.
Bill found us near the dam late morning and said they probably caught a hundred. I really think he was exaggerating a little. Said his grandson had a blast, so for me, it was well worth the trip.
Since I missed posting last week, I’ve added a few pictures from last Tuesday where we caught 52

Zane...I can't believe we didn't run into you guys yesterday? We spent quite a bit of time on the dam and at the intake area. Anyway, great trip and report...did you weigh the bass? Looks pretty big in the pic partyon

Thanks Banker and Steve
Steve... the battery on my digital scale died therefore couldn't get a weight. We were guessing he weighed around 4.5 to 5 lbs.

LOL
yeah, those digital scales
I don't use it too often. It's a very good for grabbing catfish on a jug line and you can weigh it at the same time.

Steve
We saw you'll a couple times. Wasn't positive until we got back to boat ramp and saw the owl. Doc usually wears a white or bright colored shirt and your always covered up. Seen you fishing not far from Park Prairie and then again cutting across the lake.
I told Don we should go spot lock near you, and we'd be able to load up on the bass.
