Well, they decided to spawn again after doing a water change today, this is bad news for their tank mates. Spawning Rios are huge sphincters.

They are looking good Andrew! Yes Sir Rios while spawning and on guard duty do not like other fish!

My tilapia spawned in my tank.
Haven't had any luck cast netting small bluegill or rios to put in there. How fast do they grow?

Day 3. Almost all my fish have been pushed into 1 corner. 🤬. The 3rd Rio has been taking a beating. I have a Peacock, Black Crappie, 2lb+ BG/Green, a giant Longear, SMB, Warmouth, Guad hybrid and 2 Channels all bigger and all getting bullied.

They don’t mess with the Gar, but all the other fish, many bigger, are pushed into one corner.
And every time they spawn, I get this green algae growing on the sand.

They have their war paint on! Rios are dedicated to the family for sure!
