Tis the Season (FCL 4-27-22) - 04/29/22 02:23 AM
Fished yesterday with Alan (aka Choclabdog) part day in separate boats, & part day together. The lake is currently sitting at 390.5 MSL & full pool is 391, so we are almost full. The sunfish bite is improving every week. This week I found them in 4 separate areas out of the 10 that I tried. The bass bite is also still good as we split our time between the two. There was no distinct pattern to the bass bite...you just have to be on the lake when they turn on.We finally fished a day where the wind wasn't too bad & we caught a ton of fish. All fish returned to the lake for others to enjoy in the future. I hope everyone understands the need to release the larger fish back for the betterment of the fishery. Keepin fish for the table is fine, but a strong sunfish population requires a little common sense management from all of us...It is not an unlimited resource...
