Countdown to Athens

This coming Fri afternoon marks the beginning of spring break! I will be pointing the truck south and headed to Athens. Cannot wait to get the tube out on the water. Not the best time of year for the gills but there are usually some crappie and some bass wanting caught. I am also going to hit Lake Hawkins and try and get into some Chain Pickerel and also plan on hitting Mill Creek Res in Canton. I have heard there are some good gills in Mill Creek.

I have lots of Bobby Garland Baby Shad and small jigs as well as my trusty unpainted jig heads that will be tipped with crawlers. Hoping to feel the thump!
