Quick Austin Area Report. - 11/14/21 03:59 PM

Was able to fish two water bodies in the Austin area this past week . The sunfish bite was slow but did well on the bass. The sunfish that were caught were mainly Bluegill with one in the 10" range. The bass caught were in the 1 to 2 pound range. Fish in both water bodies were holding close to grass beds in 8 to 12 feet of water. Kayaks were used with light spinning gear. Small crankbaits, Chartreuse/ Black along with Gulp Minnows Silver/Black, got the best results. woot

Nice report Curtis. Have not fished the Austin area this year. Hopefully I can fish up there a few times next year. Hate the IH 35 traffic. bang

Thanks for the Austin report Curtis. I know the traffic is not ideal, but it is what it is. I play golf in Austin quite a bit, but just leave plenty early. Catching those bass on lite gear is always a blast...
