Shhhh...

We took a trip this weekend and it was more than hundred times better than last weekend. We started out pitching JIGLYF jigs looking for spawning crappie found a few but still not quite ready.

This crappie is dressed in his tux but the girls weren't at the prom yet!
We found some sunfish they were hiting the jig on the fall.


We also caught a warmouth he didnt put up a fight.

There was a few lmb biting i caught one and it had a leech stuck to the roof of its mouth.


The main high light of the weekend were the white bass caught our first double limit on Saturday.

Once we figured out the color and presentation, it was on.







It took us all day yesterday to get our limits. Not that im complaining!

We went back today and used same colors and techniques from yesterday and took us 3hrs to catch our second double limits.
All fish caught using white on white, white with pink and silver JIGLYF jigs. Total fish caught this weekend

Side note: Its no secret, there was at least 7 guide truck trailors. The lot was so full they were parking on the side of the highway. We got lucky and got there right when a guy was leaving and got his parking spot.

Thanks Laker One it sure is. Lots of people were trolling but not catching as many. some of the fisherman we spoke to said they had caught some and some said it was slow.

Awesome stuff! Do you think the clear water was why they were fussy about light colors?

Thank you trapperben! Actually the water was really stained with about a foot of visability. They were chasing shad so we just matched the hatch.

Went back on Thursday, this time we took our youngest daughter. We used same jigs and techniques and caught 119 white bass and crappie, sunfish, lmb. We talked to some fisherman and they had only caught 1 fish in the 4 hrs they had been there. We gave them some jigs and came across them again an hr later and they had caught a sunfish, 3 crappie and 3 lmb and a bunch of white bass. We thought that was pretty cool!










It was a great day fishing with our baby. Katee kept some for her freezer.

Yes indeed ! God's blessings at work. Memories there for a lifetime.
