LBL this past week!

LBL this past week! - 11/15/20 02:43 PM

Fished the LBL this past week. Had my fishing pal Jeff. We decided to fish the east side of the lake. What a mistake. We launched at the kayak ramp on the east end of the park. We fished from about 9:30 a.m. till 2p and only caught 10 fish. Two small bass, and eight sunfish in 5 to 9 inch range was all we could manage. The biggest fish caught was a 9" Bluegill that would have easily gone well over a half pound. Small crank baits got the best results. Even though we did not catch many fish it was still a great time. woot

Nice post Curtis. Yes there are days like this. It is called fishing! thumb A least you guys avoided the "BIG SKUNK"! dance2

Side Note: Looks like there is a good chance I will miss fishing the LBL this year. When I do fish there, I usually fish the east side. cheers

Yea Vogey it seems that the Bluegill are a little harder to find during the winter! Crappie and Rainbow trout will be the main target fish for the next few months. I have however caught some of my biggest Redear during the winter months. woot
