Anybody got tips? Be headed there for a few days in late July. Have a boat.

I have fished Buchanan a lot over the years but for Striped Bass and White Bass. Never targeted the Bluegill there. I have heard that the lake has some BIG ones but finding them is another story. hide2

Side Note: I have fished Inks Lake for the sunfish and did pretty good each time out. Caught some nice Coppernose Bluegill fishing coves in about 12 feet of water. This was a couple of years ago. thumb

I fished Buchanan once last year. Caught a couple of nice Bluegill by some of the docks and grass beds. Huge lake. If it was closer I would spend more time learning it.

Yeah, that's the deal,, BIG. I've been a few times, Affirmative on the stripers, will try them also.. Some crappie there too if you can find them. Maybe report back later. Plan on some night dock fishing.

I fish Buchanan a lot. I always target Striped Bass and White Bass. Buchanan is a great lake for both. As for the sunfish I would not know.
