Fishing Report. Lake Georgetown. 03-05-20 - 03/07/20 03:54 PM

Myself and good buddy Jeff fished Lake Georgetown this past Thursday. We fished launched at Russell Park. We fished from 11am till 4pm. The bite was slow. We managed only five bass in the 1 to 3 pound range. Bass were caught in
8 to 10 feet of water using Chatter Baits Chartreuse/Black in color. Water temperature was 59 to 62 degrees. All fish were released. We looked and fished for the sunnies but had no luck. All ways great just being on the water. woot

Curtis...I have been told that Lake Georgetown is a good crappie lake, but that's about it. Only fished it once maybe 20 years ago and did not have a good day...

It's a nice lake and it is also a deep lake. Lots of coves. It's one of those lakes that you need to put some time on and learn in order to consistently catch fish. We did spot a lot fish on our graphs but could not get any of them to bite! I do plan on fishing Georgetown again several times this year.

Nice post as always Laker! Never fished Georgetown. Like Vogey stated, I heard it is a good crappie lake.
