What variations of rigging do you pros use the minnows? Jig head, drop shot, split shot?

Drop shot, split shot and float rig for me. I don’t tend to put the Gulp Alive products on jigheads. Just my personal experience.

I have never put one on a jig, but I have been reading a lot of FB posts where guys are using mostly jigs. Most of them are a little further north than we are. I may try a jig when I'm fishing Lake Havasu in June.

I know anglers who do use jig heads on the minnows. Friends of mine who fish the minnows a lot use the drop shot with great results. thumb

Gulp Alive 1" minnows for sunfish...drop shot...I start by threading the minnow on the hook leaving it as straight as possible. Once it starts to get torn, I just run the hook through the head of the minnow & you can get a few more b4 it is totally annihilated. Favorite colors are chartreuse & watermelon...hook size - 6 ...drop shot weight - 1/8 oz.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I will stay with the drop shot rig.

Yep I would say fishing the minnow on a drop shot rig works very well!
