Got These ! - 12/14/19 03:00 PM

Got to fish two of my three days off! Myself with fishing buddies Jeff and Steve caught LMB, Bluegill, Redear, Crappie, and Rainbow Trout. Released most ,but a few were kept
for the dinner table. food

All fish were caught on a South Central Texas River. The bass,Bluegill,Redear, and crappie were all caught on jigs (Chartreuse/Black) in 14 to 16 feet of water holding by brush piles.
Rainbow Trout were caught on several types of flies with a Gold colored sinking Salamander getting great results. A Gold Super Duper Lure was also used. Always great fishing with friends
on a couple of days off! woot

A little early for the finding of any eggs. I have not found any in the fish we have cleaned. Usually in mid January we start finding em! I have on occasions found eggs in late
December but it's very few and far between. We have pre spawn staging areas GPS marked. Right now the crappie are not there. coolio

Plus #1. Eggs sacks usually start forming mid to late fall!

I usually start seeing the egg sacks forming during the fall! I know anglers who have seen eggs in Crappie during the fall on a few occasions. hmmm
