Pre "ARCTIC FRONT" Sunnies&Rios! - 11/11/19 09:15 PM
Myself and Rick aka Catyakker did some Pre Arctic Front fishing. We fished yesterday (Sunday) from 2p to 5p and caught approx 50 fish. No small ones. We caught Bluegill in the 7 to 8 inch range, Redbreast in the 9 to 10 inch range, Rios in the 8 to 9 inch range, and a couple of Large Mouth Bass in the 1 to 2 pound range. We fished a South Texas creek and it seemed that the fish were on the move searching for food. All fish were caught using "The Bait of Champions" worms and were released. Fish were caught in 4 to 6 feet of water holding close to overhanging tree limbs. The creek is in good shape but can use some rain. Float and bottom techniques were used on ultralight tackle. Rick went out again today and fished a couple of locations. He caught plenty of nice Redear in the 8 to 9 inch range and called me and said. "You should have gone fishing". "The bite was non stop"! After this current front blows through I got a good feeling that the bite will be slowing down or shutting down in the shallower water. Catching a bunch of Pre Arctic Front sunfish and Rios. It just don't get any better.
