Yesterday, at church and later at lunch I was greeted and yes I am humbled and thank God , I had the awesome privilege along with my veteran son to salute and honor a WW2, Korean and Viet Nam veteran all in one awesome fellow. Anytime we see WW2 veteran is a great experience as they are graduating leaving precious few to still walk with us and I ask all young folk everywhere to see history before you.
Drafted in 1966, just Two months after I married the girl I had known since she was 3 and I was 5. Was fortunate enough to trade 2 years as a draftee for a four year commitment as an Air Policeman. Spent 28 years in the same career field and with the same little girl I've known since she was 3. I know first hand the hardships of not only our Vets but the hardships endured by their families as well. To all the Vets and their families, I am truly grateful.
