Catching Some BIG ONES! - 05/05/19 08:46 PM

Myself and Rick aka Catyakker are still catching the "BIG ONES". We fished a honey hole and caught around 70 big Bluegill,Redear, and Large Mouth Bass. The Bluegill were in the 8 to 9 inch range. The Redear were in the 8 to 10 inch range and the bass were in the 2 to 4 pound range. All fish were released to fight again. Fish were caught on worms under a float on ultralight tackle. The sunfish are very close to spawning. The bass have spawned out and are active searching for food. We caught 17 nice bass with 12 going over 14". Fish were caught in 4 to 5 feet of water holding by reed beds and grass beds. The water was muddy and stained due to resent rains. Catching some "Big Top Quality Sunfish". It just don't get any better! fish

High and off colored water....and slabs galore. We don't let no old man rain stop us from fishing (within reason crazy). Good times with a great fishing pardner. Banker even showed me where to drop my bobber and how to screw on my worms. Not only that, he hiked back several hundred yards to retrieve my back up fishing pole that I left behind. No sir it just get any better than having someone like that taking good care of me. soldier

Thanks RonL for the reply. Fish #1 is a Hybrid/Bluegill Mix. Fish 2 and 4 are Bluegill. Fish Fish 3 and 6 are Redear and of course fish 5 is a bass. You are 100 percent right. They are GREAT FIGHTERS! boxing
