Mcqueeney 2-20-19 - 02/21/19 12:55 PM

Fished from kayak on Lake Mcqueeney from 8am till 1pm. Fished main lake. Current was strong and the water temperature was 67 degrees. Bite was slow. Managed three bass in the 2 to 4 pound range. Soft plastics (worms) ,Chartreuse/Black ,casting by docks in 10 to 12 feet of water. Also picked up a couple of nice Redear in the 9 inch range hanging by the edges of drop offs in 14 feet of water. Small crank baits Chartreuse/Purple were used to get the Redear. All fish were released. woot

Nice report Curtis. thumb

Side Note: Fished Dunlap Wednesday and Thursday. It was extremely slow both days! taz

Side Note: It's not even spring break yet and we are still in the middle of winter. Saw two wake boats carrying skiers. nuts

Thanks Chuck. The bite will pick up. The ski and wake boats are only going to get worst. Been seeing a lot more of them each year. After Spring Break and once schools let out for the summer the river lakes will be impossible to fish. juggle

Side Note: Very early morning or Late Night fishing would have to be the plans for fishing Dunlap and Mcqueeney during the summer months. eeks

Thanks for the report...would love to see some pics of those bass from Mcqueeney. I grew up on that lake (upstream) & caught a lot of nice bass & huge rios back in the 1960s...
