Mcqueeney 12-5-18 - 12/06/18 10:36 PM
Fished Lake Mcqueeney yesterday 12-5-18. Fished from 11am till 4pm. Bite was good from 11:30am till 2pm and then slowed down a lot. Caught over 25 of the basic sunfish which included Bluegill,Redbreast, and a couple of Redear. Most of the fish were in the 7 to 9 inch range. Had one Redear in the 10 inch range. Several Channel Catfish in the 2 to 4 pound range, and several small bass rounded out the catch. Fish were caught on the main lake holding close to docks in 12 to 15 feet of water. The current was strong and the water was stained. Ultralight tackle was used with the bait of choice being a small crank bait,Chartreuse/Black in color. I also picked up a few nice Bluegill using a Berkley Orange Power Worm. Overall had a pretty good day on Mcqueeney. Most fish were released but kept two Channel Cat's and several Bluegill for the frying pan!
