Fished daybreak til 1:30 with buddy Lloyd today. Water temp 88-92 degrees. Sunny skies & light winds. We ended up with between 60 & 70...about half of what we caught last week. I think the sunny skies plus we spent a few hours searching new water (with no luck) reduced the numbers. Saw a big bass thrashing about and netted it...it had a BIG bluegill lodged in its gils...did surgery & it swam away happy. Tried the new St Croix rod out today & it was real nice, but didn't see much advantage or feel over the much cheaper Ugly Stik. Hope to hit Dunlap next week...
