Fishing Between Showers!

These past two weeks have been a challenge. Trying to find clear water,banks that are not completely muddy,creeks that are not flooded,and trying to fish in and around showers. So far I have been lucky to find some areas that the water is mostly clear to stained and not muddy. I have also had to put on the rain gear. Myself along with Rick-Catyakker have been catching some "BIG" Redear,Redbreast,Rios,and Bluegill. Fishing the Guadalupe River Lakes,some South Central Creeks,and some Hill Country rivers has paid off. Lot's of trophy size Rios in the 9 to 11 inch range with plenty of trophy size Redear in the 10 to 11 inch range are being caught. Plenty of Bluegill and Redbreast in the 8 to 9 inch range are also being caught. Fish are being caught in shallow water 3 to 5 feet deep using worms with both drop shot and bottom techniques being used. Met an angler by the name of Alvin. We shared a fishing spot and had a good time talking and catching fish. Alvin took a few home for the dinner table. Most fish were released to fight again. Fishing in and between showers with friends. It just don't get any better!

Banker...Really nice fish as usual...It has been raining here (New Braunfels) all morning. Just drove over the Dunlap bridge and the water is pretty muddy...may be a few weeks before it clears up...stay dry...

Thanks Vogey for the reply! Was able to fish Dunlap yesterday and the water was good. I kind of figured after the very early morning showers we got along with the mid morning showers the river lakes would muddy up!

Nice fish guys. Looks like more rain is on the way! I lot of lakes are closed due to flooding. Rivers are also flowing FAST! What water bodies would you suggest to fish? Again nice fish.

Thanks Curtis for the reply. I would give the Guadalupe time to settle down and then fish the river lakes. I would fish the creeks.
