Acadamey Tackle Sale!

Now is the time to check your tackle. Spring is right around the corner. I was at my local Acadamey Sports&Outdoors store. There are a lot of clearance sales going on with a lot of their baits both hard baits and soft plastics. Super good buy on the H2O XPress Crank Baits raging from $1.98 to $3.99. The H2O XPress Shad is going for $2.48. Lot's of good sales going on right now. Can't think of a better time during a cold rainy day to stop by your local Acadamey!

Good looking out. I live 5 minutes away from one. I'll have to stop by this weekend.

I go in to one that is 5 min or less from work 1 to 2 times a week. I always search the back walls and hidden end caps for deals. I have picked up several items over the weeks. Make sure to use the scanner to confirm the prices and remember where you got it. Sometimes they like to play the overlooked pricing game. Also search the hot deals online.

thank you for the welcome. I see the emoticon for drinking. I'll be using that for sure. Anything served 40oz at a time is my drink of choice. I only started fishing this past October. Already got my dad out on the water with me.

Went into my local Academy yesterday. Didn't have much at all on sale in the tackle department. IIRC last year it was early or mid March when they discounted a lot of the old stock. Guess I'll check back next week.

Don't forget that Academy does a price match plus 5%. I called the regional office in Houston yesterday and complained that they have seasonal sales on just about everything in their stores except fishing. They told me that there are no upcoming sales for fishing.

Picked up a Lews 10' wally marshall rod last night in Abilene. $49.99 were on clearance for $39.99

As a side note not all Academy store will have the same clearances stuff. I went to 3 different stores yesterday and the clearance stuff was all different from store to store. Some things I found and bought out at one was different at the others. I found jig bodies for $.48 at one and the others had it at $1.98. I should have asked for a price match but didn't want to mess with it.

I go to Academy at least twice a week. I can't began to tell you what great deals I have found over the years. My most recent find was 4 10ft H2O Express crappie rods for $12.99 apiece. Never trust the listed price and always run it thru the scanner. Infact I just purchased two fly reels for $4.98 apiece. You have to run those items thru the scanner because many times the scanned price is much lower than the listed price.
