Winter Time Bluegill & Redear!

Winter Time Bluegill & Redear! - 01/08/18 09:46 PM

Fished the Guadalupe River and found a bunch of nice Bluegill and Redear stacked up by a dock in 14 feet of water. There was also a brush pile very close by. Caught over fifty and if I was going to take some home I would have had a mess to clean. They were lucky that sunfish was not on the distant menu. Fish were on the bottom and worms were used. All were released to fight again! Getting in some good Bluegill and Redear winter time action. It just don't get any better! fish

Those red ears are good eating and they have some meat on them. We used to fish for them on Palestine during the spawn. Those beds looked like a honeycomb.
