Winter is coming up and I know a lot of anglers will be going after the Rainbow Trout instead of the sunfish. Which sunfish has been the easiest to catch for you during the winter?

Even though I do not target sunfish it seems that during the winter time when I catch one it is usually a Bluegill while fishing for crappie.

Usually get a few Bluegill each time I am targeting the Crappie. hooked

Side Note: Years back I could go out just about any day during the winter and catch a bunch of HUGE Redear! Have not seen that type of action in a long time. I think the floods on the Guadalupe River played a MAJOR part! hmmm
