New Vehicle Inspection law - 03/02/15 12:17 AM
goes into effect today.
In Texas now you get a VIR (Vehicle Inspection Report) when you get your inspection done. No window sticker.
You need to show the VIR when you register your vehicle.
If your registration expires in a different month before the inspection you just have to show you have the sticker or inspection. Then you get a pass till the next year when you register your vehicle.
Example: If your registration expires in March but your inspection expires in July you go get your registration paid and put your sticker on. The next time you need to have your vehicle inspected would be next March.
