Had an '18 for 2 years. Was defiantly a hoot to drive and off road in but went back to a super duty.

I mean if 450HP isn't enough, you can buy a tune and get 530HP out of it for another $600.

Yeah but 350 HP with a V8 growl would sound much better than that wimp azz V6 whine!

It has the V8 sound into the stereo and is part of the noise cancelation

Ive got a 2014 last year of the v-8. I am guessing next year is the change back to a 8 cyl.

I'm thinking if they do, there will be more than one engine option.

Supposed to be releasing a Raptor R next year.

Well, if I ever want to go play in the desert, I may consider a Raptor. Otherwise I love my V8 F-150 4X4 in the Texas terrain.

I watch some off road recovery videos, and the Raptors seem to bury themselves to the bumpers in the Utah sand. And then they get to make a call for help.

A bad driver can burry anything in sand.

If they are in 4x4 and locked the rear locker that would sink them and sink them fast as then you would have TWO rear tires trying to over power the front tires (one pulling the vehicle and also being asked to change direction so doing two things) and the rear will burry, same as happens to me when I am in snow in my raptor.

My HEMI Laramie is the most satisfying vehicle I’ve ever owned in every way, including exhaust note and acceleration. 395 HP & 410 FP torque through its 8 speed is amazingly quick. Especially with 93 octane.
Love this pickup. Owned 7 F150’s before this Ram.

Great drivetrain and has been for years. I owned 2 of them and put damn near half a million miles on them. Then the dash cracked, the paint chipped, the seats tore, the gauges failed, the a/c went, the knobs broke, the power windows and locks went, and the interior upholstery separated. Maybe they are better now, but that experience put me in a Yota in 09 and I have not looked back since. If my Yota ever gives me a reason, maybe I will try them all over again.

My Ram was the best FCA I ever had. Heck, it made it about 3 years before it fell apart. The others barely made it off the lot.

Well this post is all over lol so im gonna jump in.

I would never buy a raptor. Not that they arent good at what they are, but it just isnt what i need in a pickup.

Im all in on the reduced displacement forced induction engines. They offer better fuel mileage and more power than their naturally aspirated typical v-8 competitors. Add to that the peak torque is achieved at a much lower point they perform much better to me. Ford has long proved that they can build a robust enough small displacement high output engine that will last for me. Probably one of the selling points for putting the ecoboost in the raptor instead of the big v-8's is weight.

And to the RAM, mine is 6 years old 101,000 miles and its still great.

My BIL has a Rosch Raptor. It’s a VERY nice truck! He got on it hard getting on the interstate one day. It’s quick, but we both laughed at the exhaust note. He’s ran Rams for as long as I’ve know him…25+ years. He used to buy Rumble Bees back in the day and for some reason just bought the Raptor.

Also probably had the wrong tires for sand. Mudders are grave diggers in sand.

Ram's have some a long way! cheers

We have a F-150 but the Ram would not be out of the running if I were looking for a new vehicle. thumb
